Tank-less Heater.

Is a unit that will take a cold water supply at the bottom and is almost immediately heated by a very efficient gas fuelled heater. As soon as the water is shut off, the tank less heater also closes itself down. Ideally positioned in a kitchen or bathroom area, it has less distance to run in order to deliver the hot water. This type of heater can be double that of a standard water heater, however, great savings in energy and water volume makes it a good cost affective option. Recirculation.

Motion, temperature and time are three possible controllers for this type of pump. The pump itself will start at the push of a button. This starts to move cool water that is in the hot water circuit, pumping it back to the heater through the cold water pipe. A great idea that uses the systems own pump to feed water wherever needed. The financial benefits are achieved by energy savings as the cold water doesn’t go to the drain, but goes to back to be re-heated.


Recovery.

A plumbing fixture that is fitted underneath the drain in the bath or shower. This is designed to recover the heat from the water that drains away, and re-circulates the heat instead of the water back to the showerhead or water heater. A Roehampton Plumber recommends this type of equipment.
